Seeping Icing From My Pores

Seriously, I just got out of the bath, and I still have turquoise creases in my wrists. That's after washing my hands, oh...I'd say...100 times during this process.

Back when I made my dad's birthday cake, Kacy asked me what I was going to do for her birthday cake. I knew I'd probably make one, but hadn't gotten an idea until she said that her party would be a 'Barn Party' in Tyler. Then it just all made sense and I began planning my project. The design was still up in the air as of earlier this week, but when Kacy told me about her new pearl-snap she bought for the shindig, I was inspired.

Let me say, that I completely underestimated the monstrosity of this thing, but it was fun to do, even if it didn't come out perfect. Here it is: double-layer white cake with butter cream frosting on the bottom and a double-layer chocolate guitar cake with butter cream frosting.

So this is cake number three under my belt. Maybe with, oh... a few hundred more, I'll have better tweaked my skills.

You "Tell me if it's good..."
Me "Oh it's good!"
You "You didn't even take a bite yet!"
Me "I know but I can tell it's going to be good!"

hahaha!

AWESOME job!

Impressed... even if you are a cake ball hater. My girls each would like a tiara shaped princess cake. One chocolate and one wedding cake flavored. The first weekend in June... Thanks!

Did you get your valentines??
