However, I have been dreading writing this blog, because there is just no possible way I'm talented enough to capture all the phenomenal events that took place this past weekend at her Birthday Barn Party. I can even only remember about a third of the greatness that was present.
It was definitely a success, and the story can't even be summed up in pictures, but we can try.
Let's see...
Kacy is so special. She had lots of family in town from across Texas.

Plus, her beautiful sister, Tory and wonderful parents Karen and

What's a party without tons of great friends?!?!
We definitely didn't go hungry with all the delicious food. Hot dogs, chili, chips, dips, beans, deer sausage, smoked ham, s'mores and of course, cake!
There were plenty of beverages too. Nothing says barn party like a front-end loading tractor full of drinks.
If you wanted to be real authentic and country, you were able to sip from a mason jar.
For those that stayed late enough, we were doin' the watermelon crawl.
There was singin'...
...and dancin'...
...and just'a'hangin' by the fire....
Two words. Potato. Gun.

There was just too much fun to report on this blog, but it was totally fun to revisit the night's events the following morning.
...and then we broke the couch...
No, I take that back. The cinnamon rolls broke the couch. Karen, I think you went a little heavy on the icing. (No pun intended!) However, Karen was so kind, along with help from Matt & Marty (a different Marty) to make us a DELISH breakfast. MMMMMMMM.
With full bellies and semi-cured headaches, we strapped on our work clothes and began the cleanup process, all the while planning the next barn party. I can't wait!
Thank you Mills Family for hosting an amazing event and thank you Kacy for letting me be a part of your special 30th birthday.
(Too see a better-composed blog, see Kacy's.)

How fun...looks like you had a great time. And Lane, were you throwing down your best dance moves or what???
Great blog, Lane! I'm so glad you came, and danced, and sang, and well, yes, drank from a mason jar. We really enjoyed the party and having you with us.
I sure missed having my parade leading, tights wearing, fake Irish talking, good ol' Leprican buddy here!
See you next time,
Randall..er..er.. Raymond
