Father's Day Surprise

We had a big surprise this weekend, and that was sister Molly. She had two big reasons for popping up unannounced, and we are thankful she did. Being in NOLA, she hates not getting to see Claire grow or hang out with the fam, so this was the perfect weekend getaway for her. She was able to spend the day with the of the world's greatest fathers: Daddy and Mark.

Even though Aunt Molly hasn't been around too many babies, and was a little nervous with how fast you had to feed, burp, feed, burp, feed the little one, she loved getting to hold her niece for the first time. She barely put her down all weekend long.

Molly was so funny about trying to burp Claire, and couldn't quite get the technique down. Mark asked me to jump in and help, so I did. Molly held her while I patted. Teamwork always works! :)

Now, her trip wasn't ONLY about the baby, but mostly. She did get to spend some QT with Mikey. He loved having all his kids and grandbaby around for Father's Day. It's been a long time since he's had all 4 kids home for his special day. The only thing he wanted, other than to see us, was new crocs. Did you know that if you wear crocs every day for 2 years, you'll create a hole in the bottom of them? He was so excited about his new kicks, but he loves his old ones still, he figured it'd be best to just wear all 4.
